Overstock was opened in September of 2005. It is a collection of scans, mostly of magazines, that include fashion ads and editorials, catalogue layouts, celebrity photos, and much more. I try to include scans of any kind of design or photography that I find interesting. I began this site, quite simply, because I fell in love with photography and couldn't bear not to share that with the world.

The creator and owner of this site is Jade of FeelsLikeRain.net and Speak! Designs. Yes, that's me. I'm a University student from Ontario (that's in Canada, for those of you who don't know) who has a slightly unhealthy addiction to fashion magazines and stock photography.

The name Overstock is really just the result of sleep deprivation and poor creativity. I knew I wanted this site to have the feeling of a scan archive, but also to have a hint of stock photography, and so the idea of "more than stock photography" came to me, and the rest is history. (I hope you weren't hoping for some big, philosophical explanation. I don't do those.)

The site has now been online for well over two years and is going strong. With over 1,000 scans to date, I'm looking forward to growing this site into a well-rounded photo source. In the mean time...bear with me. :)
